Hollywood animation praises Iran music maestro

Iran’s internationally-renowned musician and Kamancheh virtuoso, Kayhan Kalhor, has been praised in the credits of acclaimed Hollywood animation ‘Soul’.

The maestro's name appeared on Pixar Wiki page of the animation as well as the end credits of 'Soul' (2020) by Pete Docter who is an American animator, film director, screenwriter and producer.

'Soul' is an American computer-animated fantasy comedy-drama film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures.

Chicago Film Critics Association and Critics' Choice Super Awards presented accolades to the amination in 2020. 

Kayhan Kalhor, has garnered WOMEX Artist Award 2019 in Finland. He composed works for Iran’s well-known vocalists including Shahram Nazeri.
